Der Krampus Art Show

I have always been intrigued by the Bavarian Christmas tradition of the Krampus. There are several variations of the Krampus across Europe, but the Bavarian one is depicted as a horned devil that arrives on St. Nicolas day to punish children that misbehave.

Inspired to commemorate this character ourselves, my friends and I put a show together at Angel City Brewery, resulting in over 100 attendees and the enjoyment of many malty libations.

I created the flyer for the show and displayed seven pieces rendered with acrylic ink on plates of birch prepared by hand.
